27 October 2024, Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time

In October, we invite you to pray the ROSARY EVERY DAY.

We begin praying the Rosary half an hour before the Holy Mass.

Church holidays and memories of saints this week:

  • Monday, October 28, Feast of Saints Simon and Jude, Apostles.
  • Wednesday, October 30, among the Jesuits: optional memory of Bl. Dominik Collins SJ, a monk and martyr.
  • Thursday, October 31, among the Jesuits: optional memory of St. Alfonsa Rodriguez SJ, a monk.
  • Friday,  1 November, Solemnity of All Saints.

The Church pays tribute to all those who have already entered the glory of heaven. He points to the pilgrims on earth the path that led their older brothers to holiness. It also reminds us of the truth about our community with the saints who care for us.

  • Saturday, 2 November, The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls).

A more honest triumph of those faithful who have already entered heaven, the Church remembers all those who repent of their sins in purgatory. In order to help them, he presents to the Lord God with the prayers and indulgences obtained by the living, and above all the Sacrifice of Christ present in the Holy Mass.

From noon on All Saints’ Day (1.11) and throughout All Souls’ Day in churches and public chapels, you can obtain a full indulgence, but only once.

The conditions for obtaining a indulgence are as follows:

  1. 1. Pious visitation of a church or chapel,
  2. 2. Saying «Our Father» and «I believe in God»,
  3. 3. Any prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father,
  4. 4. Confession and Holy Communion

On November 1-8, you can also obtain a plenary indulgence for visiting the cemetery under the above-mentioned conditions.

On the other days of the year, a partial indulgence is obtained for visiting the cemetery.

Daily Holy Mass is celebrated at 6:00 p.m.
